Ithaca Culture-Vineyard Tour
In this tour, we will have the chance of enjoying a pleasant tour on South Ithaca. This tour will not only be for fun and wine tasting but also cultural.
Thus, we are going to visit the traditional Peraxwri village with a spectacular view of Vathi port. Also, Palaiochora, where the ruins of a medieval settlement, were found.
Finally, Kaminia-Mprouzi will be the site, where we are going to taste some ambrosial wines and be introduced to the way wine is produced here in Ithaca next to one of the most organized vineyards in our island.

Ithaca Culture-Vineyard Tour
09:00 We begin from Ithaca Travel in Vathi and board in the Van
09:30 We reach Peraxwri village next to a beautiful Christian Church. We will stay for a while for photo shooting as the view is breathtaking.
10:00 We start our walk towards Palaioxwra through a walking path. During the route, many surprises will be waiting for you. Ruins around the trees, view of the sea, and 3 Christian churches. The Dormition of the Virgin Mary or Palea Panagia, a small chapel of the Virgin Mary, the Maroulatiki of Paleochora, and the Church of Agios Ioannis.
10:20 After our hiking we reach a kiosk, where we will get some rest for a while.
11:00 We return to Peraxwri and make a stop in a café for traditional Greek coffee.
11:30 We board on the van and start our trip towards Kaminia.
12:00 We reach a beautiful vineyard. We introduce you to the wine production here in Ithaca, and we talk about the main characteristics of our local wine.
12:30 We will have a picnic in a picturesque open space area with a view of the vineyard. Finger foods, local cheese and different varieties of wine will be tasted.
13:30 We board to the van and return to Vathi.
